TomeSMP Player Guide
Start Here
A safe, efficient route from first login to your first protected base.
Your first session
Register or log in
New players use /register <password> <password>. Returning players use /login <password>, or approve the login through Discord when Discord authentication is enabled.
Load the resource pack
Accept the TomeSMP resource pack. Run /fixpack whenever custom item textures, fonts, furniture, or models do not appear correctly.
Claim the starter kit
Use /kit starter once to receive a wooden pickaxe, wooden axe, and 16 cooked beef.
Choose a base carefully
Unclaimed land is risky. Hold a golden shovel, select opposite corners, and use /land when you need more claim blocks.
Save a safe return point
Run /sethome home. Home teleports use a 5-second warm-up and cancel when you move.
Early-game checklist
Safety
Keep important builds inside a claim.
Enable Safe Drop in
/settings gameplay.Avoid unnecessary fights while your newcomer protection is active.
Progress
Join Lumber immediately through
/jobs join lumber. Farmer unlocks at main Level 5 and Miner unlocks at main Level 10.Mine and fight to build main-level points.
Claim level rewards manually through
/levelrewards.Useful first commands
